We are currently recruiting a Support Worker to work with children and young people with complex neurodevelopmental conditions, learning disabilities and mental health needs in a brand-new Children Residential Home based in Carmarthen.
Our client provides residential care and education for children and young people aged between 8 and 18 years old. Our client shares an ethos of early intervention and prevention, aiming to strengthen birth-family and carer relationships. Through joint-working collaboration with social services departments, education authorities and health authorities they aim to ensure that our young people’s needs are met.
The right candidate will ideally have an NVQ Level 3 or QCF Level 3 and knowledge of working with children in a residential setting. Our client offers fantastic training opportunities to help you progress as a support worker in the setting and they encourage all staff to partake in accredited therapeutic qualifications.
Must have supervisory experience and be able to delegate all home tasks accordingly. Providing a positive atmosphere for the children and the staff.
This role operates on a rolling shift basis, including sleep-in duties and weekend working, averaging 39 hours per week.
