Support Worker Job in Newport

New Directions are looking to recruit a Support Worker for the a service based in Newport, that provide care toadults aged 20 to 50 years old. The hours will be 35 hours per week. Rotas include five days on and two off, shift times can vary and include sleep ins. There are three tenants in the service. General activities will involve assisting with all aspects of living, attending classes, dropping off, shopping, doctors and swimming etc. Personal care is involved. The ideal candidate will have experience with working with learning disabilities, good empathy skills and commited.

Homeless Hostel Support worker Job in Newport, Gwent. (RefMC)

New Directions are currently seeking hostel support workers to work in a young person’s hostel based in the Newport area. We have a large contract established over many years ago that covers Wales, for a National Hostel Association provider that caters for vulnerable young persons. This project specifically caters for young adults aged 16– 24 years of age. We need staff that have a knowledge and understanding of working with young, vulnerable adults who have a history around drug and alcohol problems, homelessness issues, challenging behaviours and complex needs.
