Clare is a freelance Mindfulness and Wellbeing trainer with several years of experience delivering 8 – week Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy courses and the 8-week .b Foundations mindfulness courses for staff in schools as well as 1-2-1 Mindfulness and Wellbeing coaching sessions and group workshops for workplace wellbeing.

She trained in Mindfulness initially to enable her to teach children, young people and staff in schools to reduce stress and anxiety when she was Head of School – Pupil Development at Cathays High School in Cardiff. Clare was a teacher for over 25 years and she found the benefits of Mindfulness practice so transformational in improving her own mental wellbeing that she decided to leave her job over 5 years ago and devote all her time to teaching and studying Mindfulness courses. She recently gained an MSc in Psychological Therapies Practice and Research (Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and Approaches) at the University of Exeter.

Clare is listed as a Mindfulness teacher on the UK Network for Mindfulness Teachers (now British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches-BAMBA) and follows the Good Practice Guidelines for teaching Mindfulness-based courses as laid out by the UK Network for Mindfulness Teachers. She regularly attends teacher-training workshops, meditation retreats, courses, and wellbeing workshops. Clare is passionate about sharing the practice with others through her courses and workshops and she has taught over 35 8 -week Mindfulness-Based courses over the last 5 years as well as hundreds of Mindfulness and Stress awareness Workshops for staff in schools, community, workplace and clinical settings.
