New Directions is currently recruiting Healthcare Assistants to join our agency team and work across a variety of healthcare and care settings in the Swansea area.

You’ll play an important role in providing high-quality care and support, while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals and care teams.
Key Responsibilities
– Provide compassionate, person-centred care and support.
– Assist with personal care and daily living activities where required.
– Support individuals with mobility and transfers.
– Assist with meals, hydration, and maintaining comfort.
– Support with medication in line with your training and service requirements.
– Monitor and report changes in individuals’ health and wellbeing.
– Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
– Promote dignity, privacy, independence, and choice.
– Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control procedures.
– Work effectively as part of a wider care and healthcare team.
– Provide reassurance, companionship, and emotional support.
Essential Requirements
– A minimum of 6 months experience working as a Healthcare Assistant or in a relevant care setting
– Current Manual Handling Training and practical experience
– A caring, reliable and professional approach
– Good communication and the ability to adapt to different care environments
