Our client's service is a Independant residential school for children with special needs, the setting accomadates around 50 children and young people aged 7 to 25 who have severe and complex learning disabilties within their school and residential services. There are 7 residential settings on site, your role will be to support the young people both in their school time and the time after in their residential setting.

This will be to work in a residential setting that can house up to 7 service users, there is an element of care to this support role and service users may have Autism/ASD, Cerebral Palsy, Challenging Behaviour, Down Syndrome, Epilepsy, Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilties and Speech Impairment. Our client needs support to their staff who provide 24 hour waking cover. Support workers and other staff provide support with finding move-on accommodation and referrals to specialist agencies where necessary. Residents and staff work within a move-on policy, requiring regular meetings to discuss progress made with finding move-on accommodation and help support the residents with any questions or issues they may have.

New Directions Social Care are looking for a Support Worker to work in a four bedded children’s home in Hereford. The home is built on over 20 years of experience in providing treatment services for adolescent boys and girls aged between 10 and 18 years old. You will be supporting vulnerable and emotional teenagers, who have come from broken homes and those who need support and guidance daily. Shifts can include sleep ins, waking nights and long days. You would ideally have experience in a similar role, have a full UK driving licence and be over 22 years old, this is due to company policy.
