New Directions are recruiting on behalf of the UK’s number 1 children’s home provider, as judged by Ofsted (our sector regulator).
As a Team Leader, you’ll make sure that vulnerable young people get the best from us. It’s a worthwhile role that comes with great training and rewards. Every day, you’ll assist the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, deputising when required, upholding good practice and motivating the team. When you’re not busy with leadership duties, you’ll work with the young people, take part in case reviews and oversee administration. You will be responsible for organising and leading shifts, as well as effectively planning the day to day care of our young people and advising and supervising staff.
To be considered, you’ll need a minimum of 12 months experience in residential childcare and must hold a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) or an equivalent. You will also need to have held a full UK driving license for a minimum of 12 months.
You will need to have the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents and outside agencies. Resilience and understanding will play a big part in your success. You must also be happy to work unsociable hours, be flexible to the needs of the home and work to a rota, including sleep in duties. In exchange you will receive a highly competitive salary (Up to £36,420), benefits and outstanding training package.
For children and young people with complex, challenging needs, the level of care and education must go above and beyond. That’s what drives us. With our high staff-to-child ratio and in-house clinical teams, our children’s homes have a reputation for excellence. Through our inspirational homes, schools and ethos, we’ve achieved the highest possible outcomes. In short, we’re enhancing life opportunities.
Salary and benefits package is among the best in our sector. It includes a competitive salary, contributory pension, Life Insurance based on two times your annual base salary, comprehensive induction and ongoing training, 35 days’ holiday (including bank holidays) and £1000 per annum Attendance Incentive Scheme. Also on offer is extensive Group staff benefits, such as a Medicash Health Plan/Employee Assistance and Cycle to Work Scheme.
