How We Support the LGBTQ+ Community at New Directions
At New Directions, inclusion is more than a value, it’s a practice. We’re committed to creating a workplace where every individual, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, feels respected, safe, and supported.
Supporting the LGBTQ+ community is part of who we are, and here’s how we’re putting that into action.

Inclusive Workplace Policies
We have worked to ensure that our policies are inclusive and up to date. This includes:
- A clear anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policy that protects LGBTQ+ individuals.
- Equal benefits and parental leave for same-sex couples.
- A supportive framework for colleagues who are transitioning, including guidance for managers to handle this sensitively and respectfully.
These policies reflect our belief that equality must be embedded into our everyday operations.
Education and Awareness
Awareness is key to creating an inclusive culture. Throughout the year, and especially during Pride Month, we deliver internal campaigns, host educational content, and highlight the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals.
We encourage all colleagues to engage with resources on inclusive language, pronouns, and allyship. The more we learn, the more empowered we are to support one another.
Visibility and Celebration
Representation matters, and so does celebration. From raising the Progress Pride flag at our offices to sharing stories and voices from the LGBTQ+ community on our channels, we actively work to create space for visibility and pride.
We understand that meaningful inclusion doesn’t come from performative gestures, it comes from consistent, authentic effort. We’re proud to take part in recognising and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community, not just during Pride Month, but all year round.
Looking Ahead
There’s always more to do. At New Directions, we’re committed to listening, learning, and improving. We stand with the LGBTQ+ community, within our offices and beyond, and we’ll keep striving to make ND a place where everyone feels free to be themselves.
