Santa’s Grotto at New Directions

The festive season is fast approaching, and we are delighted to announce the return of Santa’s Grotto at New Directions. Once again, families in Cardiff and Abertillery are invited to join us for a memorable and heartwarming Christmas experience.

Thanks to the continued generosity of our valued sponsors – Trafalgar, Blend Telecom, Phil Hanlon Life & Business Coach – this year’s event will remain completely free of charge. Santa’s Grotto has become a much-loved community tradition, and we look forward to welcoming even more families this year.

A Growing Community Tradition

When Santa’s Grotto at Lambourne House first opened its doors in 2022, we welcomed 178 children. In 2023, that number increased to 582, and by 2024, the event had grown once again. With over 700 children visiting Santa to share their Christmas wishes and receive a special gift, we can’t wait to do it all over again in 2025. 

Each year, the Grotto has continued to grow in popularity and significance, becoming an important fixture in the local community’s festive calendar. The feedback from families has been overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing our commitment to making the experience as magical and inclusive as possible.

Looking Ahead to 2025

Now in its fourth year, Santa’s Grotto is set to be our biggest and most memorable yet. Our team has been working hard to create an enchanting experience that captures the spirit of Christmas while providing a welcoming environment for all families.

Children will have the opportunity to meet Santa in his beautifully decorated grotto, share their Christmas wishes, and receive a thoughtful present to take home. The event offers a unique opportunity for families to enjoy quality time together and make lasting festive memories.

What to Expect

Visitors can expect to be welcomed into a winter-themed setting at Lambourne House in Cardiff or ND Care & Support in Abertillery, complete with festive decorations and photo opportunities. Each visit is carefully planned to ensure that every child enjoys a personal and memorable experience with Santa and his team.

Our dedicated staff and volunteers will be on hand throughout to help create a safe, enjoyable, and uplifting atmosphere for all attendees.
