Training that made an impact in 2025

At New Directions, training isn’t just an add-on to what we do, it’s at the heart of how we support schools, candidates, and communities. As we reflect on 2025, we’re proud to share just how much of a difference our training teams have made behind the scenes.

In 2025 alone, we’ve trained over 430 candidates through New Directions Education, helping education professionals build confidence and develop essential skills.

Alongside this, ND Care and Support has trained more than 100 care workers, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and practical skills needed to make a genuine difference every day.

Our commitment to training goes far beyond the workforce. Last year, we delivered free Introduction to Sign Language and Lifesaving Skills training to 14,837 children. These sessions are designed to be engaging, practical, and empowering.

We’ve also worked closely with organisations and clients in the education and care sectors, delivering tailored training solutions to 253 clients. Through these partnerships, we’ve helped 901 staff members upskill, strengthening teams and improving outcomes for children, learners, and those they support.

Training is about more than certificates. It’s about:

  • Building safer, more inclusive environments
  • Increasing confidence and capability in staff
  • Giving children and young people skills that last a lifetime
  • Supporting organisations to meet evolving challenges

As we enter 2026, we remain committed to expanding our training offering and continuing to invest in the people who make education and care possible.
