Candidate Testimonials

I enjoy going to different places of work and met new people along the way. Going to different sectors of work and  gaining new experience. New directions have helped me a lot through out the time I have been with them.

Matthew is good person and understands what work I want and need and listens.

The training that they send me on is part of my job and it’s good training to have, I have met few clients from new directions in different work places I’ve been to they like and love working with the agency.

The other members of the team that I speak to also are friendly, helpful and very happy to speak to you if you got any problems or anything you need talk about.

Lindsey – Support worker

Would like to thank ND for all the support that you have given me over the years. You guys treat us all with respect and are very helpful. Your telephone manners are impeccable. You are always available to help and support us at any time of the day and night with whatever problems or queries that we may have. I would like to thank you giving me a wide range of clients and different care sectors which all adds to the variety of work and experience which we benefit from. Once again many thanks.

Andrea – Support Worker

I have recently been made active to work with new directions recruitment. When initially registering with them I was promised lots of work in hostels all over cardiff and I can honestly say I have not had a day go past where I am not offered work.

I am always informed of existing shifts with clients that are local and always offered on-going placements with new clients as well. I find Liam and the team very helpful, honest and all have a good sense of humor which helps in this line of work.

I have also been inundated with FREE training from them – again as they promised. I know I am well looked after with new directions and cannot recommend them highly enough.

Keith H – (Young Person’s Hostel Worker)

I have been involved with new directions on and off over the past 5 years.

Liam Healan found me my first job and with new directions and has been responsible for helping to guide me to numerous employers and help me to qualify to level 3 (QCF) – in working with young people in children’s residential care.

Personally i found the staff team to be friendly and polite and I know support is literally a phone call away.

Liam Healan has been responsible for helping me to realise my dream of working and helping support some of the UK’s most vulnerable young people and I will always be grateful to him and his team at New Directions for helping me into this work.

David, Senior Residential Worker

I heard about New Directions Social care from my friend Vicky.

The registration process was straight forward and did not take long at all. New Directions Social Care have been great at providing me with work opportunities in my chosen sector. Without this work, I would not have been able to expand on my knowledge and experience as I was not in a position to volunteer.

New Directions go above and beyond in order to assist with the people that work for them and the clients that they work with. They once paid for me to get a taxi to a placement in order to ensure I was able to work and to ensure that the client was able to receive cover.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the work placements that I have been placed at and it has now allowed me to realise what I would like to do in the future. I feel that New Directions Social Care are by far the best due to the variety of work they can offer and the location of the work offered enables me to access placements easily.

Jade, Support Worker

I have been working for New Directions Social Care since August 2015.

The New Directions team are very friendly, supportive but most of all, professional.

I am in close contact mainly with Omar. Omar is not just a very good consultant however an extremely knowledgable and understanding person with regards to the service users and the social care staffs needs. He is always supportive to my needs and is very flexible with working around my full time job.

Thank you very much Omar and the New Directions team for all of your support.

Ben Beynon, Support Worker

I found out about New Directions at a job fair in Cardiff. Your colleagues were very helpful and I heard from them and went through the interview process soon after the fair. I would and have recommended you to a few friends that have life experience and needed a job.

For the most part, there is enough work available. I have set days that I can work and appreciate all your efforts to try find me work on those days.

The service you provide is thoughtful and personal.

Brodie Jones, Nursery Nurse

I found working with the company fantastic as there was always someone available to speak to and everyone gave me useful advice and tips. I would recommend this company as I was given a lot of work that suited where I lived.

There was also great communication between the staff and I as I was regularly contacted to ensure I was doing alright in my placements, especially my longer term placement. Overall, I think this company provided a very personal service as the people I was speaking to were very nice and were interested in things about me and made regular conversation when I’d ring in or they’d ring me. I’m glad to have been part of such a lovely team of people!

Elinor Brunker – Nursery Nurse

From the very beginning of being in contact with New Directions Social Care, I have been dealt with professionally and always been kept up to date with what is happening regarding my process via email and telephone. I completed the paperwork and DBS and within a week it was all complete and ready or work within one day then I was offered work, I have also found the online service easy to use and very useful.

All the staff I have spoken to have been polite, I have felt at ease every step of the way and would highly recommend, actually I have recommended you to a friend already.

Nicola Gronow, Nursery Nurse

I’ve worked as a support worker for New Directions for 6 months, working with vulnerable people such as children, young adults and people with mental health issues. I’m enjoying working with New Directions because of the friendly staff, excellent  rates of pay and endless stream of work available.

Abdul Noor, Support Worker

Abdul Noor, Support Worker

I have been regularly working for New Directions since May 2014 and have found the New Directions Team to be very professional, efficient, friendly and supportive.

As I have a funded job in the week, then I am always looking for extra work in the week , mainly on the weekends with the purpose of gaining further experience in the social care sector. I have mainly been contacted by Omar and Liam, who I have found to be very supportive and understanding and always go out of their way to find regular work to fit in with my work commitments in the week.

I have to say how effective the  on call team has been because whenever I have had enquiry or needed advice they have always been available and supportive. The New Directions Team overall have been brilliant and always make you feel valued.

Stuart Morgan, Support Worker

New Directions promised to find me lots of work, pay me every Friday and send me on training courses in support of my work. Not only did this happen, as promised, but it was all handled by a great team of people who knew what they were about and were both professional and friendly.

Residential Support Worker

When I was looking for flexibility in order to work around other commitments in my life, agency work seemed the ideal option. So, being a Welsh company, I looked around and contacted New Directions. I was invited to interview soon after, where I was able to discuss my career history and state where I thought I would be best suited to work. All personnel in the offices are extremely pleasant and attentive.

Registered Nurse

All personnel in the offices are extremely pleasant and attentive. So, after all the customary checks, I am now working around Wales and enjoying my time immensely. I currently have a block booking of a month in one service, which is obviously ideal for so many reasons.

Registered Nurse – Learning Disability

I have worked for New Directions since July 2006 and have been in constant work since this time. I have always been offered training and personal development opportunities and feel supported in all choices I make.

Support Worker

I have always felt supported and valued at New Directions (Recruitment) Ltd. The overall quality of service and care for staff is always of a high standard.

Child Care Worker

I registered with New Directions (Recruitment) Ltd in May 2006. I think the service that the Domiciliary and Social Care Team provide is very good and very professional. I have always been offered regular work and been paid on time. I have recently started a NVQ Level 2 in Social Care through New Directions.

Care Assistant

My new role is going really well and I am absolutely loving it. I want to thank New Directions for all your help and hard work getting me the position that I wanted.

Residential Support Worker

I wanted to let you know how grateful I am for the help and support you gave me recently. At that time, I already had an interview for a social work post pending and even though this was not arranged through New Directions, you encouraged me to attend and gave me advice about interview techniques etc.

After speaking with you I felt much more confident and I am happy to say that I was successful and am now looking forward to my new role. I have found you to be a most professional and supportive agency.

Thank you once again.

Family Centre Manager

I really enjoyed working with people within very different Social Care sectors, as with this work that New Directions offered,  I gained new experience in many different areas of Social Care.  I also felt cared for in the years when I needed to pay my university fees (and all other bills) as I got offered more than enough work to do so through ND!

I appreciated that members of team at ND team spoke to me respectfully and made me feel appreciated. I am also very grateful for all the training (and supervisions) provided, as this helped me to increase my knowledge about different subjects within Social Care, meet other members of ND and discuss questions about work itself.

Overall an amazing experience!
