“Progress matters for Estyn, schools but most importantly for pupils”. With the need to secure successful futures, and Estyn clearly setting out the importance of pupil progress, this inset session will support you and your staff in directly achieving that.

The inset session, in practical ways and with free supportive resources, will establish:

  • How the professional standards focus on pupil progress
  • How to secure evidence of pupil progress in cognitive learning
  • How to demonstrate pupil progress in a wide range of attitudes to learning, including the core purposes
  • How to use key resources to secure the above
  • How to ensure learners are listened to well
  • How learners can demonstrate/articulate their own progress.
