Our team is a premier supply teaching agency in the following towns and cities: Aberystwyth, Bangor, Bridgend, Bristol, Cardiff, Cross Hands, Ebbw Vale, Liverpool, Manchester, Swansea, Wirral and Wrexham.
We work closely with our candidates to ensure that the school and college vacancies we register are suitable for individual skill sets and requirements. These well attended events keep candidates abreast of sector news and supply teaching vacancies from term to term. In order to maintain high standards in schools and address the lack of training opportunities available to supply teachers we have produced a programme of high quality training courses run in school holidays. The benefits of enrolling on New Directions Continued Professional Development (CPD) training courses include:
- You will be raising and maintaining your professional practice as a teacher.
- You will be able to include details of your CPD training when applying for long term/permanent teaching posts.
- Our courses are conducted by experienced education trainers who are former or present headteachers or classroom practitioners.
- The course content is tailored to be appropriate and applicable to supply teachers.
- You will attend courses with fellow supply teachers.
Resources for candidates
Working as a Supply Teacher can often mean that you have to improvise with feedback to the schools you work within – about behaviour, class engagement and other pertinent issues. Our aim as a your agency is to ensure that you are fully equipped with the right tools to carry out the best possible job. We will soon be producing a series of tools for supply staff to utilise for short or long-term positions. This document is a feedback sheet for you to leave with your supply co-ordinator at the school or college you have worked within…
