Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? Do you have the energy, patience, and creativity to make a real difference in the classroom? We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at welcoming and supportive schools in Barry.

About the role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers to support pupils with their learning, both in groups and one-on-one. You’ll help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, assist with lesson preparation, and provide support for students who may need extra help.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting learning activities under the direction of the class teacher
• Assisting pupils with individual needs, including additional learning needs support
• Helping to prepare classroom materials and displays
• Supervising children during breaks and lunchtimes as required
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement

What we’re looking for:

• Experience working with children (in a school or similar setting)
• A caring, flexible and proactive approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
• Teaching Assistant qualifications (desirable but not essential)
