Job Description

New Directions Education are currently recruiting for a Computing and iMedia Teacher to work in a high-achieving mainstream secondary school in Liverpool. This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role:

  • Full-time teaching position delivering Computing and Creative iMedia across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to support GCSE coursework and exam preparation.
  • Plan and deliver dynamic, engaging lessons in areas such as computer science fundamentals, programming, digital graphics, and multimedia production.
  • Use a range of software and digital platforms (e.g. Python, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) to inspire learners and develop their technical and creative skills.
  • Collaborate with the Computing and Media department to contribute to curriculum development, track student progress, and uphold high standards in teaching and learning.

The Ideal Teacher:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have recent, relevant experience teaching Computing and/or iMedia at secondary level.
  • Be able to provide a school-based reference within the last 5 years.
