About the Role
We are looking for qualified teachers to work on a flexible, day-to-day, short-term, or long-term basis in secondary settings throughout Conwy and neighbouring counties. Your role will be to:
Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
Teach confidently through the medium of Welsh
Maintain high standards of classroom management
Make a positive contribution to pupil learning and achievement in STEM
Job Specification
If you specialise in teaching biology, physics, or chemistry and are seeking a role in a school, we’ve got opportunities for you, especially if you’re a newly qualified teacher (NQT) or interested in supply teaching.
As a Science Teacher you’ll be expected to:
Hold QTS status
Teach all areas of your subject specialism
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
Maintain discipline
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
