New Directions Education is seeking a committed and skilled Intervention Teacher to deliver targeted English and Maths support to KS3 pupils in a secondary school in Halton, starting in January 2026. This long-term role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about raising attainment and helping learners build confidence in core subjects.

The Role:
Deliver small-group and 1:1 intervention sessions in KS3 English and Maths.
Identify learning gaps and plan targeted activities to help pupils make rapid and sustained progress.
Work closely with the English and Maths departments, SEND team, and pastoral staff to support individual learning plans.
Track and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and adjusting intervention strategies as needed.
Contribute to the wider school ethos of support, achievement, and high expectations.
The Ideal Candidate:
A proactive and encouraging teacher with experience delivering English and/or Maths at KS3.
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or has relevant teaching experience in a secondary setting.
Confident differentiating work to meet the needs of learners who require additional support.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and engage pupils.
Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service if required.
Must have employment references covering the last 5 years.
