We are currently recruiting for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school setting, supporting students with challenging behaviour needs. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with children or adults who have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs and who can provide calm, consistent support in a busy school environment.
The Role
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students with SEMH needs in the classroom and during unstructured times
Work closely with teaching staff and the SEMH team to manage behaviour and support learning
Assist with implementing behaviour support plans and interventions
Support social skills development and emotional wellbeing
Help maintain a safe and structured learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

Essential Requirements
Experience supporting individuals with SEMH (essential)
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
References covering the last 2–5 years
