We are seeking a compassionate, resilient and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Everton. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
The school provides a supportive and structured environment for pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
The Role
• Support pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assist the class teacher in delivering personalised learning activities linked to EHCP targets
• Implement behaviour support strategies and promote emotional regulation
• Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based experience desirable)
• Relevant TA qualifications (Level 2 or Level 3) are desirable but not essential
Requirements
• References covering the last 5 years
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Right to work in the UK
