About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, resilient, and proactive Behaviour Support Worker to join our Leeds team. In this role, you will provide personalised support to children, young people, or adults who present behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties. Your work will help to create safe, positive, and inclusive environments that empower individuals to develop confidence, independence, and meaningful life skills.
Key Responsibilities
-Build positive, trusting relationships with individuals requiring behaviour support
-Implement behaviour support plans and de‑escalation strategies
-Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, carers, and external professionals
-Promote emotional regulation, wellbeing, and effective communication
-Support individuals to access learning, community activities, or daily routines
-Accurately record incidents, progress, and observations
-Provide a calm, consistent presence during challenging situations
-Encourage independence, social skills, and positive choices
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
*Patient, empathetic, and resilient
*Able to remain calm under pressure and respond professionally
*A strong communicator with good interpersonal skills
*Passionate about making a meaningful difference
*Confident working with individuals with additional needs or challenging behaviour
*Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable people
*Experience in SEN, social care, mental health, youth work, or behaviour support is desirable but not essential
