We are seeking reliable, confident, and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work on a supply basis across a range of secondary schools in the Vale of Glamorgan area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong classroom management skills who enjoy working with young people and supporting their learning.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain on task with the work set. You will not be required to plan lessons but will help maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver pre-prepared work to classes in the absence of the class teacher
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Support students to stay engaged in their learning
Follow safeguarding procedures and promote student welfare
Report back to teaching staff with any issues or achievements from the day
About You
Confident in leading groups of secondary-age students
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
Adaptable, punctual, and proactive
Experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential
Suitable for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, or individuals with youth or coaching experience
