📢 Cover Supervisor – General Cover – Medway
Are you confident, organised, and looking to gain valuable experience in education?
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of secondary schools in the Medway area, providing general classroom cover when teachers are absent.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school staff who want flexible work, classroom experience, and the chance to make a real impact on young people’s education.
🌟 About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students stay on task
Maintain a calm, positive learning environment
Manage classroom behaviour effectively
Report back to the teacher or senior staff on student progress and behaviour
Assignments can include:
Daily cover for unexpected absences
Short-term placements of a few days to a few weeks
Long-term cover lasting a term or more
✅ Requirements
We are looking for confident, adaptable and proactive individuals who can quickly build rapport with students and staff.
You should have:
Strong communication and organisational skills
Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
A positive, professional and flexible approach
Good behaviour management skills
An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
