New Directions Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Art Teacher to join a thriving and well-established mainstream secondary school in Liverpool. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in January 2026, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

• Proud of its specialist art facilities, including purpose-built studios, a dedicated textiles room, kiln access, and regular involvement in local arts partnerships, exhibitions, and community projects.
The Role:
• A full-time teaching position delivering Art & Design across Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE coursework support, assessment, and exam preparation.
• Plan and deliver imaginative, inspiring lessons across a range of artistic disciplines such as drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, mixed media, and digital art.
• Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and strong technical skill development while maintaining high expectations for student progress and engagement.
The Ideal Teacher:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Have recent and relevant experience teaching Art & Design at secondary level, including GCSE.
• Be able to provide a school-based reference from within the last five years.
• Be willing to complete a DBS check and join the Update Service if not already registered.
