New Directions are recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for short/long term cover in Cardiff . The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to provide high quality learning support and contribute to the positive ethos of the school.
This role is an exciting opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants who have a Level 4 Teaching assistant qualification. You will be expected to take on a higher level of responsibility within a supportive environment to motivate and encourage students to show ambition, maximise their potential and embrace all aspects of school life and to develop a wide-ranging skill set.
We expect you to exhibit a passion for raising student expectations and achievements by performing the requirements below:
Support students in their learning activities, promoting engagement and understanding.
Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of student progress
Support Classroom Management and Behaviour Policies
Assist in the preparation and organisation of learning materials
Delivering pre-planned lessons to ensure continuity of Education during Teacher absence.
Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons under the direction of teaching staff
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
