Job Description

New Directions Education is recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant for a small, welcoming primary school in Maghull.

The role will involve working in Key Stage 2, delivering targeted interventions to small groups to help plug gaps in learning and support pupils in making strong progress. The school is known for its outstanding behaviour and calm, positive learning environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting KS2 pupils through small-group intervention work
  • Helping address gaps in learning across core subjects
  • Working closely with teachers to support progress and attainment

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting learning in KS2 is desirable
  • Confident working with small groups
  • Positive, proactive, and able to build strong relationships
  • Able to pass an enhanced DBS and provide recent references
