New Directions Education is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teacher to work within primary schools across Bradford and the surrounding areas. We want to hear from you if you have:
· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
· Experience teaching within a Key Stage 2 setting.
· A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements for KS2.
· The ability to plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons across a range of curriculum subjects.
· Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· A commitment to raising attainment and supporting all pupils to achieve their full potential.
· Experience preparing pupils for end of Key Stage 2 assessments and supporting pupil progress.
· A passion for creating positive learning experiences that inspire, challenge, and motivate young learners.
Job Specification
Working as a KS2 Teacher can be incredibly rewarding, requiring enthusiasm, creativity, and a commitment to helping pupils develop the academic, social, and emotional skills needed for future success. You will work closely with support staff, school leaders, and parents to ensure every child receives high-quality teaching within a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2.
· Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning, independence, and resilience.
· Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, using assessment data to inform planning and intervention strategies.
· Differentiate learning activities to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and EAL requirements.
· Support pupils in developing strong skills in English, Mathematics, Science, and the wider curriculum.
· Prepare pupils for statutory assessments, including Key Stage 2 SATs where applicable.
· Promote positive behaviour and establish high expectations for learning and achievement.
· Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and other members of staff to support pupil attainment, wellbeing, and personal development.
· Build effective relationships with parents and carers, providing regular feedback on pupil progress and achievement.
· Encourage pupils to become confident, independent learners who are prepared for the transition to secondary education.
· Contribute to the wider life of the school through participation in events, extracurricular activities, and school initiatives.
