Ellesmere Port | 2–3 Year Old Nursery | Start: September 2025 | EYFS
New Directions Education are recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work full time in a 2–3 year old Nursery class within a welcoming Primary School in Ellesmere Port.
This role will begin in September 2025 and is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate early years professional who loves supporting young children’s learning and development through play and routine.
Role Responsibilities:
Supporting children aged 2–3 with daily routines, learning and development
Creating a safe, nurturing and engaging early years environment
Working collaboratively with the class teacher and EYFS team
Assisting with toileting, snack time and structured play sessions
Observing and recording development in line with the EYFS framework
Requirements:
Level 3 TA / Early Years qualification (Essential)
Experience working in a nursery or early years school setting
Warm, patient and proactive attitude
Understanding of early child development and EYFS curriculum
Ability to build strong relationships with young children and their families

As a teaching assistant you’ll be expected to:
Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO and class teachers
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Programmes (IEP) for students and help monitor their progress
Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities
Assist class teachers with maintaining student records
Support students with emotional or behavioural problems and help develop their social skills.
