Job Description

New Directions Education is currently recruiting a passionate and skilled Maths Teacher to join a Good-rated secondary school in South Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher to deliver high-quality maths education across KS3 and KS4, supporting pupils to achieve their best outcomes.

This role is due to start in January 2026, initially until the end of the school year with the view to extend.

The Role:
• Follow the national curriculum to deliver engaging and effective maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Plan and deliver lessons that stretch and inspire learners, using varied teaching strategies to support different learning needs.
• Assess and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement and exam readiness.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive learning environment and uphold high expectations.

The Ideal Candidate:
• Qualified Teacher Status with experience teaching maths at KS3 and KS4 level.
• Strong subject knowledge with the ability to engage and motivate pupils of all abilities.
• Effective classroom management skills and a proactive, team-focused approach.
• Willing to complete an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service if required.
• Able to provide references covering the last five years of employment or study.
