Job Description

A welcoming primary school on the Wirral is seeking an experienced Nursery-qualified Teacher to join their Early Years team on a part-time basis (2–3 afternoons per week), starting ASAP.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Years specialist looking for a consistent, part-week role in a supportive school environment.

The Role:

  • Teaching within a Nursery provision
  • Delivering engaging, play-based learning
  • Supporting early communication, language and social development
  • Working closely with EYFS staff and support team
  • Maintaining high standards of care and learning

We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven Nursery / Early Years teaching experience
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • A nurturing, calm and engaging approach
  • Ability to commit to 2–3 afternoons per week

Job Specification

An EYFS Teacher works in day nurseries and also nursery or reception classes in infant or primary schools.

  • Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation;
  • Maintain discipline
  • Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
  • Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, and supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
  • Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
  • Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
  • Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly in smaller schools and day-nurseries.
