New Directions Education are recruiting for Science Technicians, to cover temporary positions in Secondary Schools in South Wales. The roles available are long and short-term temporary, covering internal staff absences such as sickness or maternity.
The working hours will be Monday-Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, term-time only.
Our clients are seeking applicants with excellent verbal and written communication, as the role will involve working closely with staff and students to support the Science department with the delivery of practical lessons.
A relevant scientific qualification and previous experience working within a lab are essential. Applicants must have excellent knowledge of health and safety and be confident overseeing the storage and maintenance of apparatus and scientific equipment.

You will normally work within a team of Technicians helping carry out the following tasks:
Candidates would ideally have a background in a school environment and have a qualification in biology, physics or chemistry to a degree (or equivalent) level.
