New Directions are recruiting passionate individuals who are willing to work across our pool of secondary schools within the RCT area. We want candidates who feel confident to work with a range of different Secondary aged children in small groups and in a classroom setting, striving to make children’s school experience a fun and safe environment by giving them the tools to reach their full potential.
Ideally we ask for 3 months minimum experience working with children, or have a child based qualification. We do consider candidates who have transferable skills, this means having experience working in social care, coaching or nursing.

For this Job Role you will need:
To be confident working with pupils who need extra support within the classroom.
To be able to work closely, communicate well and lease with teachers and other members of staff.
Feel comfortable taking small groups of children and giving 1-1 support.
To be able to adapt different learning approaches to meet the needs of individual pupils.
Teaching, Learning or Classroom Assistants are now vital resources for teachers and are heavily relied upon in schools.
