Secondary Teaching Assistant, Cardiff

Job Description

New directions are seeking teaching assistants in secondary schools in Cardiff. Experience of working as a teaching assistant in secondary schools is advantageous not necessary. Candidates who have experience working in childcare settings, care or coaching will also be considered for the role. You will need to be supportive and positive to enhance student experience.

Position Details:

• Contract Type: Long-term
• Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students across Key Stage 3 and 4
• Supervision of group work
• Working with different additional learning needs
• Following timetables and working with class teachers
• Assist in the delivery of tailored educational programs to meet individual pupil needs

Skillset:

• Ability to follow structured plans while also applying independent judgement when necessary.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
