New Directions Education is currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to work in a specialist SEND primary school located in Crosby. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with low-level learning needs, including developmental delay, communication difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health challenges.

A specialist primary SEND school in Crosby catering for pupils aged 4–11 with a range of mild to moderate learning difficulties.

Facilities include well-resourced classrooms, sensory areas, therapeutic spaces, and access to tailored interventions and support programmes.
The Role:
Support individual pupils or small groups with their learning, communication, and social development.
Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
Help pupils engage in classroom activities, adapting resources where needed to suit learning styles.
Provide pastoral care and encourage positive relationships and emotional wellbeing.
The Ideal Candidate:
Kind, patient, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
Experience working in an education, care, or youth setting is welcomed but not essential.
Must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service, if not already done.
Able to provide relevant employment references from the last 5 years.
