We are seeking an experienced Primary SEND Teacher to join a specialist school in Knowsley, supporting pupils with complex additional needs. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, individualised learning to primary-aged children within a specialist provision.
The Role:
Plan and deliver tailored, engaging lessons for pupils with SEND
Support children with complex needs, including non-verbal pupils
Work within small groups to provide highly personalised learning
Promote independence, communication, and wellbeing in a nurturing environment
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally in a specialist setting
Confident using a range of communication approaches, including AAC
Patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education
Strong team player, able to work collaboratively with staff and families
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
References covering the last 2–5 years
