Job Description

New Directions Education are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of Design Technology to join one of our Partner Secondary Schools in Prestwich from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and committed individual to contribute to a well-resourced and innovative Technology department. The role is a permanent full time vacancy.

The Role:

• Teach Design & Technology to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Specialisms in all or some of the following: Resistant Materials, Hospitality or Food Technology are welcome
• Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons that develop students’ skills and creativity
• Support curriculum development and contribute to extra-curricular opportunities
• Be an active member of the Technology department and wider school team

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold QTS and have experience as a Teacher of Design Technology in a secondary setting
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for practical, project-based learning
• Have the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities
• Be committed to high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour
• Be open to continuous professional development and collaboration
