My client, a well-respected school in the Crosskeys, area is currently recruiting for a part-time teaching assistant for a role working in a local primary school. The role will involve working with a child who requires physical/medical attention and, you will also need to be qualified in British Sign Language (BSL). This role will also require working alongside the class teacher to provide an interactive and nurturing learning environment alongside providing academic and emotional support for the pupil. My client is looking for candidate who is committed, career driven, flexible and versatile with the confidence to work to a plan but also with their own initiative.
To be considered for this position you will need to have a background working with children or display transferable skills from previous roles, this will be required alongside the passion and confidence to positively impact children’s educational experience. Previous employment working with children with additional learning needs is advantageous but not essential.
This is a long-term position working 15 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Due to the needs of the pupil, it is essential you can commit to these hours until July 2022.
