We’re currently recruiting enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to work in primary and secondary schools across the Bridgend area, working with pupils on a one to one basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who thrive on helping young people achieve their full potential. We are looking for candidates who are available full time availability between 8.30am – 3.30pm, Monday – Friday during term time.
About the Role:
Providing tailored 1:1 support to pupils with ALN (Additional Learning Needs), including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges
Assisting with learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
Supporting behaviour management and promoting positive learning environments
Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers
We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children in a school or care setting (voluntary or paid) in the last year
Full time availability between 8.30am – 3.30pm, Monday – Friday during term time
A calm, compassionate, and patient manner
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
A willingness to learn and take direction from teaching staff
A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable (but not essential):
Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Team Teach or other relevant training
Experience working in ALN or SEN environments
