New Directions Education are currently recruiting for a Year 5 Class Teacher to work in a welcoming, well-regarded two-form entry primary school in Huyton. This is a full-time, long-term position, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The Role:
Full-time teaching position in Year 5, responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across the full primary curriculum.
Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that support all learners to make good progress.
Work collaboratively with the parallel Year 5 teacher to share planning, resources, and ideas.
The Ideal Candidate:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it (e.g. ECTs in their induction year).
Demonstrates a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
Is passionate about making a difference in children’s lives and committed to inclusive, nurturing practice.
Be able to provide school-based references within the last 5 years
Be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS background check
