New Directions Education Achieves Audited Education Status

New Directions Education Ltd has become one of the first cohorts of recruitment and training providers in the UK to achieve the REC Audited Education status.The award is a replacement for the former Department for Education (DfE) quality mark which was dissolved last year. REC Audited Education ensures safeguarding and that agencies are undertaking all the relevant checks when recruiting teachers. On 18th July 2014 the New Directions group of companies held our annual summer company conference. The event is an opportunity for our teams across the UK to gather and celebrate success. New Directions helps Mr X Christmas Appeal

Staff at New Directions took part in the annual MR X Appeal, the appeal is a South Wales based charity which was founded over 50 years ago. Participants in the scheme are provided with the name and age and sex of a child who they then purchase a Christmas present for.  Gifts can range from toys to sweets but the charity does not accept cash.50 staff members from New Directions took part in the scheme, with staff from all departments bringing in a wide assortment of gifts for children across South Wales, making sure they had something to open on Christmas day.The Mr X Christmas appeal has […]

Compliance Team in the Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

New Directions Compliance Team attended an afternoon tea on the 25th October in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness. The event at the Park Plaza Hotel formed part of Breast Cancer Awareness month . In 2010, 49,564 women and 397 men in the UK were diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. Breast Cancer Awareness is dedicated to providing emotional and practical support for anyone affected by breast cancer. The campaign raises funds for better support and care for those with the disease. Compliance Bake Off Raises £80 for NSPCC

The Compliance department at New Directions are big fans of 'The Great British Bake Off' and decided to hold their own competition to test their culinary skills. Each team member baked a cake of their choice under strict guidelines - everything had to be 100% homemade; including the jam!The Bake Off was scored by cake experts and ex-chefs Emma Stuart and Gareth Pughe from the Social Care department, scoring each cake on appearance, texture, creativity and flavour.
