New Directions Education are currently recruiting for a Year 1 Class Teacher to work in an exceptional, high-achieving primary school in Southport. This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The Role:
• Full-time teaching position in Year 1, delivering the KS1 curriculum with a strong focus on early reading, writing, and phonics.
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-paced lessons that stretch and support all learners to achieve their full potential.
• Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and confidence.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1.
• Must have experience delivering Read Write Inc. phonics, with a clear understanding of its structure and approach.
• Demonstrates a strong grasp of early literacy and numeracy, with the ability to differentiate effectively for a range of abilities.
• Must be able to provide school-based references from within the last 5 years.
• Must be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS background check.
