New Directions are seeking a Year 4 Teacher to join a primary school in South Manchester. This is a full-time position starting at October half term and continuing for the remainder of the academic year.
The Role
Teaching a Year 4 class and delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
Planning and delivering lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Managing behaviour effectively and promoting positive relationships with pupils.
Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs.
Working alongside support staff to ensure pupils receive appropriate support.
Maintaining high expectations for learning, behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
Working closely with colleagues and parents/carers where required.
Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
The Candidate
QTS is essential.
Previous primary teaching experience is required.
Experience teaching in KS2, particularly Year 4, is desirable.
Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
Confident with classroom and behaviour management.
Able to plan and deliver effective lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.
Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
Available to start at October half term and commit to the remainder of the academic year.
