New Directions Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work in an Outstanding-rated SEND provision in Crosby. This full-time, long-term role involves supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils with high-functioning autism, particularly during core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science. The Role:
• Supporting pupils in KS3 and KS4 who are working at a lower academic level, primarily those with high-functioning autism.
• Providing in-class support during core academic subjects including English, Maths, and Science.
• Assisting with task completion, encouraging focus and engagement, and helping pupils manage transitions and emotional needs.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Has experience working with children or young people with Autism or SEND in a school or alternative provision.
• Must be able to provide employment references from the last 5 years.
• Must be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS background check.
