New Directions is working with a secondary school in Stockport looking for a cover supervisor to join their team. This role is to start as soon as possible, covering lessons for years 7-9 across the curriculum.
Cover Supervisor Role:
Supervise students during short-term teacher absences
Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure student engagement
Manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive learning environment
Offer guidance and support to students as needed
Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure seamless lesson transitions
Cover supervisor requirements:
Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor
A confident and approachable demeanour
Strong classroom management abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility and adaptability to work across various classroom settings and subjects
A genuine commitment to supporting students’ learning and overall well-being
