New Directions Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to work in primary schools across Chester and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while securing short-term, long-term, or potential permanent opportunities.
We work with a variety of supportive schools that are committed to helping ECTs develop confidence and establish successful teaching careers.
Due to the nature of these opportunities, candidates must be able to commit to working 3 or more days per week.
• Delivering engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1, and/or KS2
• Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Planning and adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners
• Assessing pupil progress and providing feedback where required
• Working collaboratively with school staff and support teams
• Developing confidence across a variety of primary school settings
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be due to achieve QTS before starting
• Recent teaching placement experience within a primary school setting
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and the primary curriculum
• A genuine passion for teaching and learning
• A full driving licence and access to transport (beneficial)
