New Directions Education is currently recruiting caring and committed Teaching Assistants to work in a specialist secondary school in Runcorn that supports pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and associated social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

A well-established SEND secondary school in Runcorn, catering to pupils aged 11–19 with a wide range of complex needs.
The school promotes individualised learning, emotional support, and life skills development.
Features include sensory rooms, therapy spaces, and vocational learning areas.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 and group support for students with a range of additional needs, both in the classroom and around school.
Support students’ academic, emotional, and social development.
Assist with personal care and mobility where required.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience in an SEN, care, youth work, or health-based setting is desirable but not essential.
We welcome applications from those with backgrounds in care, the NHS, social work, youth support, sports coaching, or similar sectors with transferable skills.
Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service, if not already done.
Must have employment references within the last 5 years
