We are recruiting for a pool of passionate, supportive, and engaged Teaching Assistants to work within local specialist provisions in the Leeds area. This is a fantastic opportunity to positively impact the lives of learners who face social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
Teaching Assistant Requirements
We want to hear from individuals with:
Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches and therapeutic behaviour support
Training in Team-Teach or other behaviour intervention methods (not essential but preferred)
A calm, empathetic, and patient approach
Strong behaviour management skills
Your Role
You will be supporting pupils across Key Stages 2, 3, and 4, providing tailored support both in and out of the classroom:
Supporting learners in small groups or 1:1 settings
Assisting the class teacher in delivering a nurturing and structured learning environment
Promoting emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and engagement with learning
Building strong rapports with pupils, staff, and external professionals
All roles are subject to satisfactory references and an Enhanced DBS check.
