New Directions Education are seeking a Primary Teacher to work in a SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Birkenhead. The Role:
Teaching across the primary age range in a SEMH setting
Planning and delivering differentiated, engaging lessons to meet the individual needs of learners
Assessing, monitoring, and supporting pupil progress
Maintaining a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Working closely with SEN teams, teaching assistants, and pastoral staff to support pupil wellbeing
Supporting behaviour management strategies and SEMH-focused interventions
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant UK teaching qualification
Experience teaching in a primary or SEMH setting, or relevant experience supporting children with complex social, emotional, or behavioural needs
Strong classroom management skills and a flexible, patient approach
A passion for helping children overcome SEMH challenges and achieve their potential
A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
