New Directions Education are recruiting a SEN Learning Support Assistant to work in a SEND school in Wallasey. This is a rewarding opportunity for a caring and patient individual to support children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them access the curriculum, develop skills, and achieve their potential.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with SEND in the classroom and during small group activities
Assisting teachers in delivering individualised learning programs and interventions
Maintaining a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
Collaborating with teachers, SENCo, and other support staff to monitor and support pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children in a school or educational support role, preferably with SEND
Knowledge of SEND strategies, differentiation, and inclusive practices
Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
A caring, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting pupils with additional needs
A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
All candidates must hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check.
