New Directions Education is currently recruiting a caring, committed, and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated Outstanding primary school in Huyton on a full-time basis. The Role:
Provide targeted support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support strategies
Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions as required
Support pupils with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and learning needs
Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
Monitor and support pupil progress and wellbeing throughout the school day
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant or supporting children with additional needs (desirable)
Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
Good understanding of SEND and inclusive classroom practices
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide references covering the last 5 years
