Role & Responsibilities of an ECT Teacher

As an ECT working with New Directions, your responsibilities may include:

• Delivering engaging and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment
• Following school policies and routines
• Adapting quickly to new settings and year groups
• Supporting pupils with varying learning needs
• Assessing learning and providing feedback where required
• Building positive relationships with staff and students
• Acting professionally as a representative of New Directions Education

Who We’re Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending qualification
• Newly qualified or recently qualified teachers (ECTs)
• Passionate, enthusiastic and adaptable
• Confident in managing a classroom
• Open to working in different school environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
