Working within a dedicated SEND environment, you’ll play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, building positive relationships and creating a classroom atmosphere where pupils feel safe, valued and motivated to succeed.
The Role:
As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of your students. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports pupil progress, confidence and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEND.
Adapt teaching strategies and resources to support differing learning needs and abilities.
Create and maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
Monitor, assess and track pupil progress effectively.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, therapists and parents/carers.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching pupils with SEND, including learning difficulties, autism or complex needs, is desirable.
Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and differentiation.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A patient, compassionate and flexible approach.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
